The Jaxson offers options for an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Mississippi River across from Algiers Point. You can also have your ceremony indoors surrounded by their oversized picture windows that look out over the French Quarter. Or if you are looking for a more intimate ceremony, you can have your guests enter through either the elevators or front door and walk right into the soft lit center of the venue space surrounded by mirrored columns and candles.

A Legacy of History at The Jackson Brewery
The Jaxson is not just a modern venue; it’s a place steeped in history. On June 6, 1890, the cornerstone of the original brewery building was laid in Jackson Square, overseen by a statue of Andrew Jackson. Initially named the Jackson Bohemian Brewery, it was later shortened to Jax Beer and ultimately became the Jackson Brewing Company. Founded by Lawrence Fabacher, Sr., the brewery was located at 600 Decatur Street and quickly became a beloved institution in New Orleans. The Jackson Brewing Company earned a
reputation as the oldest brewery in New Orleans, surviving Prohibition and serving the local community for decades.
The brewery closed its doors in 1974, but the building remains a historic landmark, with the original company name still adorning the facade. The transformation of this iconic structure into The Jaxson represents a new chapter, continuing the city’s rich cultural traditions.
The Jaxson offers an in-house catering menu that will delight the taste buds and bring your local guests back to their childhoods with the classic New Orleans cuisine dishes such as Seafood Stuffed Shrimp Remoulade, Chargrilled Oysters, and Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. And for those who are looking for a bar package to wow, The Jaxson offers an extensive list of local and popular cocktails and spirits, and the flexibility to craft unique drinks to suit your specific event. The venue’s customizable amenities allow guests to create the perfect ambiance of their events, while exceptional food and service complete the equation for an outstanding experience.
If you’d like to check out the Jaxson for your next wedding or event, we would be happy to set up a venue tour with you as your wedding planner or event coordinator!
